Genistein and Daidzein effects on the physiological indices of Soybean Cyst Nematodes

Soybean cyst nematode (SCN, Heterodera glycines) is a chief plant–parasitic of soybean. Application synthetic chemical nematicides poses negative side effects to human health and the environment. Therefore, search for safe effective approach more relevant. This study evaluated Genistein Daidzein on physiological index soybean nematodes, individual morphology, reversal frequency, respiration, body fluid leaking second–stage juveniles (J2s) nematode. The results showed that length J2s decreased, while stylet tail transparent area elongated. Additionally, after treatment, became hollow shrunken, stiffened, whereas frequency decreased dramatically 24 h treatment. Moreover, leakage was intensified respiration inhibited. Oxygen consumption by 86.7 % 70.1 %, while, in contrast, electrical conductivity increased 40.1 36 at 100 μg mL−1 Daidzein, respectively, 48 exposure. smaller number roots, slower development rate, abnormal sexual differentiation were found greenhouse assay.
